In search of the holy grail of an MBA (class of 2008 hopeful), this space will hopefully chronicle the search and my other quixotic pursuits.

Cap'n French & Interview Tips

Despite all the preparation, there is always the possibility that your interviewer could throw a curve-ball and leave you tongue-tied. Despair not, take a leaf out of San Francisco police Capt. Richard Bruce's book:

"When I was involved with the shooting of that video, I would sometimes get tongue-tied and would roll my tongue to signify another take," Bruce said.

For those not from the Bay area, go here to see some creative ways of saying 'cut' and for more background, go here. Ooh captain!

Btw, Mayor Newsom lighten up already and please: where it says 'Shower Gel' on the bottle, it means gel to be used while showering, not to shower with it.

I actually think that the captain does deserve an appology from Gavin.

We'll see....I have a firend who thought he CED the interview and the interviewer seemed very impressed with his accomplishments and in the end he got a ding =/ I am trying SO hard not to get my hopes up. Did I mention this is extremely hard to do?

Thanks for the invite to the Chicago mixer. If I was applying to the school I definitely would join in. We should totally have a bay area bloggers get together one day though...maybe in the spring? Would be fun to meet people face to face.

ps. I call ya'll boys because I know it gets on your nerves ;)

Thanks for the Chicago mixer invite. Unfortunately I read it too late so I couldn't make it up to the city in time. Ack! But, let us know how it went. :-)

ACTUALLY...he merely notified me of his condition and I told him we had to reschedule because I didn't want any of his cooties ^_^

The picture is so deceiving....I have green eyes!

pffft You wish I gave you the details. You can get cooties from sitting across the table from someone who is breathing in your direction! That is a medical term btw. ;)

Yup. I am passing up potential Kellogg admit. The more I think about it, the more I realize that I applied to Kellogg based on its ranking more then anything. CBS has better international connections as well as the amazing resource of having a shared career services with Haas (which is pretty important since I want to come back ot hte Bay Area). Plus I would much rather spend 2 years in NYC:)

I will shoot you an email, but I am leaving on the 30th, back on the 7th.

Can you believe it? 2 more weeks - our essays & apps will be out the door - and then begins the waiting period. Ahh... I have a constant itch inside that I can't seem to scratch.

    Merry Christmas! :-)
